Pass or PASS - Abbreviation for Passing, which is a player skill available in Cyberdunk.
PF - Acronym for Power Forward, which is a player position available in Cyberdunk. PG - Acronym for Point Guard, which is a player position available in Cyberdunk. Player Build - Describing how a player, in reference to his skill set, has been built to play. Player Profile - This is the "homepage" of a specific player which gives a variety of information regarding the player's position, birth date, country which he represents, skills overview, etc. Here is an example of a player profile: http://cyberdunk.com/team.php?m=player&id=1723069 PM - Acronym for Private Message, which is a note that can be sent to a fellow Talkdepper and is only viewable by the person it is sent to (i.e. not public). There are multiple ways to send a PM, but two of the most common are: 1. While viewing a post, clicking on the button that says either "online" or "offline" next to a person's Talkdep username and avatar, and selecting "Send a Private Message to ______" 2. Go into your Inbox and select "Send New Message", and type the recipient's name in the Recipient Username(s) box (Talkdep has an auto-complete feature that may help you if you do not know the exact spelling; just give it a moment to kick in after you start typing). Understand that this generally refers to PMs within Talkdep; if the word "ingame" is used, it is referring to within Cyberdunk Post - A numbered unit of text placed publicly by a user (i.e. person). For example, this index of terminology is the 1st post of this thread. Primary Skill - A player's "best" skill (and usually his highest skill). In general, a primary skill is generally the first mode by which a player will tend to play (i.e. If Floor Shooting is the primary skill, he/she will most likely be a "shooter" first). Public Profile - This is a page that features information regarding a particular user of Talkdep. The Public Profile includes such information as number of posts made, date of joining Talkdep, Avatar, previous private messages, friends within Talkdep, etc. One simple way to view a Public Profile, click on the person's Talkdep name when viewing a post and select "View Public Profile" from the drop-down menu or simply click on the person's username if you are in the Talkdep Member's List, and it will redirect you to their Public Profile. PWN - Again, more Internet chat terminology than anything - it basically means that you have mastered (or "owned" in hoop slang language)some skill, challenge, topic, person, etc. REB - Abbreviation for Rebounding, which is a player skill available in Cyberdunk. Reserve - Auction-related terminology that refers to the lowest price a seller is willing to sell their item. Anything offers beneath the reserve price may be accepted but the item will generally not be sold until the reserve is "met" or exceeded. Rookie - See "Newb". Rounder - Referring to a type of player build in which a player has no special skills (i.e. primary skill). Simply put, the majority, if not all, of his skills are very similar in value. S.# (i.e. S.10) or even S#10.# (S10.76) - Abbreviation for Season (and whatever number of the season the person is referring to) or even the Season and season number (dot) and then the number of the day of the season they are referring to. For example, S10.43 is referring to Season 10 Day 43. SA or SalArmy - The "nickname" for The Official Salvation Army of Cyberdunk, which is a donation-based program that offers free assistance to Cyberdunkers who are in need of initial, better or additional players but may also include teams, cash, etc as resources are available. Scrubs - Term for substitute and/or poor players on a squad. Secondary Skill or Secs - This is in reference to the "supporting" skills or even just the next highest skill(s) of a player to the primary skill. Secondary skills are often paired with a primary skill to make for a better player. SG - Acronym for Shooting Guard, which is a player position available in Cyberdunk. Sig (or Signature) - Abbreviation for the word "Signature", which refers to the graphic/image/picture and/or words/phrase that a users to add a personal touch to the way their posts/private message are viewed and sometimes reveals their interests, often within Talkdep. A signature can be found at the bottom of their post or private message. Many times signature include hyperlinks to information/pages that is important to the user. Spam - When someone makes a post that either refers to another post that already exists in the same forum or just makes idle chatter for the sake of filling Cyber-space (i.e a worthless posting). Specialization - This is referring to the way a player's skills have been distributed throughout his skills set either by training or boosting to indicate that a player has an intended way of playing based on the highest skills he has (i.e. This player plays a specific role either on offense or defense and in some cases). This can refer to a player as being a "shooter", "defender," "playmaker", etc. An example of a specialized player here: http://www.talkdep.com/showpost.php?...87&postcount=7 SPD - Abbreviation for Speed, which is a player skill available in Cyberdunk. Spike/Spiked Skill/Spiking - When you train a skill, usually focusing on just one, to extremely high levels, especially when compared to all other skills the player has. (i.e. a player has 300 in one skill and maybe only 40-50 in the others) SS - Acronym for Senior Server (usually referring to the Senior Server edition of Cyberdunk). Senior Server is considered to be a higher-level of competitiveness in comparison to the High School Server edition and thus is often the server for those who have a more advanced knowledge of Cyberdunk. Sticky (or Stickied) - Refers to a thread that has been permanently placed at the top of a forum for convenient access to it because of its usefulness and/or popularity. STM or Stam - Abbreviation for Stamina, which is a player skill available in Cyberdunk. STR - Abbreviation for Strength, which is a player skill available in Cyberdunk. STL - Abbreviation for Stealing, which is a player skill available in Cyberdunk. STP - Acronym for Special Team Player, a type of tactical style of play one can choose for their player. T - Abbreviation often used to stand for Talad, one of the creators of the game, though his status as a Cyberdunk owner-representative is in question. T/C - Abbreviation as is sometimes used to refer to Transfers/Contracts, which is a forum of Talkdep. TD or TDers - Acronym for Talkdep or Talkdeppers (people involved with Talkdep). Thread - A "collection" of multiple posts based on an issue or topic as often indicated by its title. For example, this particular thread is called "Cyberdunk/Talkdep Index of Terminology" and will contain all posts related to this topic. TnO - Acronym used for Talad and Omnem, creators of Cyberdunk although with Talad's status in question, this is becoming a less-used phrase (but I include it as it already is in a lot of other threads). TO - Abbreviation for turnover, which refers to when a player loses the ball to an opponent either by means of a block or steal. Transfer(s) - This refers to a transaction between two different accounts, and often includes a change or exchange of Cyberdunk "goods", including such items as players, player or team cash, Cyberdunk Points, etc. This is essentially the process by which people "move" items and/or money for the purposes of the game, only it is does done in Cyberspace as opposed to a "physical" exchange of goods. Additionally, this could refer to a tab/feature available within a Cyberdunk account, where one actually goes to send and receive players. Troll/Trolling - See "Flame/Flaming". Unboosted - Refers to a particular player who has not had any Cyberdunk Points spent on his/her skill set in order to "bump" the player's value even higher without training. Username or User - This is the name by which someone has chosen to be identified as in Cyberdunk and/or Talkdep. For example, the username of the person creating this post is Pedrino88. Sometimes this can be used to reference someone's Talkdep name, while the word "account" can sometimes be used to reference someone's Cyberdunk username. This is important to realize particularly when making transfers. VBA - Acronym for Veteran Boost Award, which is an award of free boosts once someone has decided to retire their player and that player meets the specific qualifications to receive the VBA. VM - Acronym for Visitor Message, which is a note you can send a person in Talkdep that will be posted to their Public Profile and is visible to all who view the recipient's Public Profile. To send a Visitor Message, click on the person's Talkdep name when viewing a post (and select "View Public Profile) or simply select someone's username if you are in the Talkdep Member's List, and it will redirect you to their Public Profile. There, you can post a message, view previous Visitor Message, and other personal information and statistics. WTB - Auction-related acronym standing for Wanting to Buy. WTS - Auction-related acronym standing for Wanting to Sell.
